My practice incorporates speculative design and eco-media approaches to investigate perception, environment, and the ways humans engage with the natural world. I teach at SODA (School of Digital Arts) in Manchester.<br><br>My work spans many kinds of media, from <a href=\"https:\/\/antonyhall.net\/blog\/tag\/artworks\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"167\">drawing, installation, soundart, workshops<\/a>, interactive installations, and immersive multisensory perceptual experiments.  My PhD research involved collaboration with experimental psychologists (BEAM Lab\/University of Manchester), during which I devised innovative multisensory perceptual experiments and experiences which used tactile stimulus in combination with movement and mixed visual perspectives using live video and head-mounted displays (<a href=\"https:\/\/antonyhall.net\/blog\/the-workshop-as-art\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2834\">See the exhibition here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/antonyhall.net\/blog\/experience-in-action\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4594\">our current project here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am a member of several artist collectives, including,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/antonyhall.net\/blog\/tag\/proximity\/\" target=\"_blank\">Proximit<\/a>y, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/antonyhall.net\/blog\/tag\/para-lab\/\" target=\"_blank\">para-lab<\/a> (a collective of artists and scientists), and Owl Project.&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.owlproject.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Owl Project&nbsp;<\/a>is known for performance [sound art] and sculptures that combine elements of crafts and electronics.
