{"id":2739,"date":"2020-12-04T14:16:21","date_gmt":"2020-12-04T14:16:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/antonyhall.net\/blog\/?p=2739"},"modified":"2021-05-10T13:23:35","modified_gmt":"2021-05-10T13:23:35","slug":"plinth-with-unseeable-object","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/antonyhall.net\/blog\/plinth-with-unseeable-object\/","title":{"rendered":"Plinth with unseeable object"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I was honoured to be invited to contribute to  <a href=\"https:\/\/theweddingritual.blogspot.com\/\">WEDDING <\/a>RITUAL&nbsp;an amazing&nbsp;curatorial project&nbsp;by&nbsp;Wes&nbsp;White&nbsp;\/&nbsp;Wes&nbsp;Viola.&nbsp;I wrote&nbsp;about&nbsp;something&nbsp;Old [Plinth with unseeable object]&nbsp;Did something&nbsp;new [See the obscurist edition], proposed&nbsp;something&nbsp;borrowed&nbsp;and&nbsp;invented something&nbsp;blue [sort of].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;&#8230;Antony Hall is an extraordinary artist, experimentalist and thinker. His work frequently plays with our perception of reality, sometimes presenting as everlasting magic tricks (for example, his&nbsp;Perpetual Coffee Vortex&nbsp;and&nbsp;Continual Slow Drip). Hall is also one part of&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.owlproject.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Owl Project<\/a>, the sound-art collective responsible for the&nbsp;iLog, at least one incarnation of which&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bjork.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bjork<\/a>&nbsp;is rumoured to have added to her collection of instruments. The&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.antonyhall.net\/ENKItech\/fish.html\" target=\"_blank\">ENKi<\/a>&nbsp;project explored the limits of human interaction with electric fish. I was fortunate to study at&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.strode-college.ac.uk\/courses\/our-courses\/art-and-design-(foundation-diplo\" target=\"_blank\">Strode College<\/a>&nbsp;with Tony (on the course now led by&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sharkcage.wixsite.com\/duncancameron\" target=\"_blank\">Duncan Cameron<\/a>, then our sculpture tutor), and have followed his artistic career with glee ever since.
