Morecambe Bay is a vast expanse of intertidal\u00a0mudflats and sand\u00a0in the\u00a0UK, covering a total area of 120\u00a0square miles. We spent some time walking, examining a small section of beach and looking at the fragments of remaining salt marsh, much of which has separated into smaller disks of grass or egg-like blobs of mud – slowly dissolving into the sea.
