
Morecambe Bay is a vast expanse of intertidal mudflats and sand in the UK, covering a total area of 120 square miles. Debbie has documented this area on a near-daily basis for many years – her work is an incredibly intense document of a place in time. https://debbieyare.com/portfolio/gallery/
We spent some time walking, examining a small section of beach and looking at the fragments of remaining salt marsh, much of which has separated into smaller disks of grass or egg-like blobs of mud – slowly dissolving into the sea. I spent some time trying to capture all details of the slow movement of sand water and mud – trying to get my camera just under the surface…
